Northwestern Connecticut Youth Hockey offers one of the lowest fee structures of any program in the area. We are proud to offer a top-notch youth hockey experience at a great value.
The 2009/10 Fee structure is as follows:
In-House Programs
Travel Programs
- Tryout Fee $75 + Registration Deposit $200 = $275 (required to be paid prior to first tryout session)
- Mites - $975
- Squirts - $1,050
- PeeWees - $1,075
- Bantams - $1,075
- Midgets - $495
- Girls U-12 - $595
- Girls U-14 - $1,050
- Girls U-17 - $1,075
- Girls U-14 Tier II - $1,075
Policies concerning fees:
Tryouts will be conducted for Girls U-14 Tier II, Mites, Squirts, PeeWees, Bantams and Midgets. There are no tryouts for any of the in-house programs. Tryout Fee Requirements - $75 tryout fee + $200 registration deposit = $275 total (required to be paid prior to first tryout session).
Families with more than one child in the program will receive a $200 discount for each additional player if the children are registered in the following programs: Mite, Squirt, PeeWee, Girls U-14, Girls U-17, Girls U14 Tier II and Bantam. The discount does not apply if a player is registered in the following programs: All in house programs (Learn to Skate, Intro to Hockey, Novice, Short Season), Girls U-12, or Midget levels. Family discounts are not to be taken at time of tryouts. All players trying out must pay full tryout fee and registration deposit ($275 total).
Additional Payments due as follows: 50% of balance due July 31, 2009. Remaining Balance due at roster signing / jersey distribution night (Late September date to be announced). Players will not be allowed on the ice after that date unless all fees have been paid.
Once team selections have been finalized in the fall, there will be a MANDATORY JERSEY/ROSTER SIGNING NIGHT. This is scheduled for late September (to be announced). In order to play on a team, all players and parents must do the following:
- Players must sign the roster, Code of Conduct and Commitment Letter
- Parents must sign the Commitment Letter
- All balances must be paid in full
- Jerseys and game socks can be picked up at this time
If, after a player has been notified of team selections, said player decides they do not wish to play on the Team they have been selected for, a full refund of the fees paid with registration (not the tryout fee) will be refunded only if a member of the NWCYH Board of Directors is notified within twenty-four (24 hrs) hours of said notification. Verbal notification must be followed up with a written request within 5 business days. No refund will be made if this procedure is not followed. Per CHC rules, each player assigned to a team will be asked to sign a letter of commitment. This letter commits the player to NWCYH for the current year and holds the player/family responsible for ALL fees.
The above policy is in place to express the importance of team selection and in effort to provide fairness to all children.
All players, coaches and parents will be required to adhere to the NWCYH Code of Conduct as well as all CHC and USA Hockey rules.
